On this Palm Sunday it feels so odd to not be together physically in Veedum with our palm branches in hand and singing the Moravian Hosanna! That particular song is one we offer up just two times each year - once on the first Sunday in Advent and again on Palm Sunday. It's just not the same singing it alone as it is written in a style where we sing back and forth and in harmony.
As we all face these days of physical distancing, may the giving up of enjoying that particular piece remind us of how very blessed we are to have the privilege week after week and year after year to worship together freely.
Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna!
